In an effort to implement public health experts' advice on social distancing, we ask that organizers of group meetings make arrangements that allow for appropriate social distancing. When that is not possible, please switch to Zoom meetings or teleconferencing. Caltech has extended its Zoom video conferencing licenses for use across campus to accommodate this.

Requests should be directed to the event organizer.

Yes. All spring intercollegiate athletic contests and practices have been canceled as of March 15. This action is taken in concert with our Division 3 conference, the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC), which has canceled all conference competition for the spring. With appreciation for the significance of this milestone ceremony, in recognition of the disruption the novel coronavirus has had on our lives, and following close consultation with representatives from your graduating class, we have restructured the June commencement ceremony into a two-part celebration for the 2020 graduates. First, the Institute will hold a virtual degree conferral and graduation ceremony on Friday, June 12; then, at a later date, the Institute will hold an in-person celebration for the 2020 graduates.

More information about the virtual event, including information about how to connect and the checklist for graduates, can be found in the May 11 message from Joseph E. Shepherd, Vice President for Student Affairs.

During this time of social distancing, the Athenaeum has closed all in-club dining services. They are still offering their to-go program, and are available to handle lunch and dinner requests Monday through Friday.

Effective Monday, March 16, Tournament Park is closed to the public until further notice. We will not be accepting reservation requests for private events until the park reopens.
